About our camps…

In the past I put my clinics into categories… such as Level One or Level Two… according to what skills horse and rider might have. By calling our clinics "Cross Training" we thought we would be able to convey the varied activities one can work on during their visit with us.

However, the words Cross Training do not seem to fully explain what we offer. There will still be a "lower level" clinic for those folks either just starting out as riders or getting back in the saddle after a long spell away from horses, and of course a Dressage clinic, although jumping is still definitely allowed and encouraged if you so wish!

But for those folks wanting to come to a clinic with a partner or friend who maybe is not quite riding at your level, no problem at all. How will that work you say…

Because our clinic participation number is kept to a minimum, it allows me to give more individual attention to each horse and rider. This means you are able to work on goals very specific to you during your morning riding sessions. Riding as a group in the afternoon permits you to relax and enjoy the company of your fellow horse lovers while still participating in schooling activities suitable for your level of riding.

Our commitment to you is simple: come and have a relaxing time with your horse, learning new skills, meeting new friends, all in a very non-competitive environment. Whether you are a Dressage rider working on Third Level manoeuvres, someone wanting to experience the thrill of Eventing or maybe just working towards that better relationship with your horse, we want to help you realise your goals.

There are many, many wonderful clinicians out there who specialise in helping you and your horse climb the competitive horse show ladder, I can certainly help you towards that as well… but I strongly feel the need to be here for those of you wanting to learn yet also have FUN with your horse!

Triple H Equestrian Center LLC adult riding camps are designed to give both horse and rider a break from the regular routine of riding and schooling.

Our facilities and lesson structure during the clinic offer the chance for you as a rider to gain a deeper insight into what makes your horse “tick” as lessons are tailored to your specific needs.

Indoor arena.

This is not a “generic” type of clinic environment...individuality is paramount! Our goal is to see you leave here with a better understanding of your horse, a greater feeling of confidence and accomplishment, but most of all the desire to get back home and RIDE!

EVENTING
from Newbie to Novice Level

Just one of the many obstacles on the
cross-country course.

Ever had the urge to gallop with wild abandon through a field filled with cross-country fences?

For riders who have always had a hankering to jump into the Eventing/Combined Training discipline or those of you with more jumping experience, the emphasis here is on reading a course, judging your speed, using simple gymnastics to improve your horse’s jumping ability, developing a conditioning program for your horse and most of all, boosting confidence and having fun!

Our Cross Country course is expanding! We are in the construction phase of a bank jump and water complex and have added several new fences and jumping areas.

Work on weak points to make riding cross-country a safer and more satisfying experience. With fences from 12” to 3’6” our field course is a wonderful schooling ground for the horse and rider. School flatwork in our covered arena, warm up over stadium fences before heading out to the cross-country field and outback trails!

Limited to 8 participants

CROSS TRAINING

For riders whose persuasion lean towards the art of Dressage but have always had the hankering to jump, our Cross Training camp may be just what you are looking for.

A morning session in the arena is followed by an afternoon of riding out on the trails and fields of the ranch.

Discover the rewards of communicating with your equine partner in a relaxed, subtle way. This can all be accomplished away from the confines of an arena as 10-meter circles around a Juniper tree give focus to both horse and rider.

For riders who are comfortable riding in the open away from the confines of an arena... jumping is optional!

Those of you wishing to school over ground poles or pop over jumps may find this can bring a lot more to your riding than a thrill and a smile! Developing a secure seat over fences greatly enhances our work on the flat as we all strive for that independent, deep seat!

So no matter if you are a Dressage rider wishing to advance from Training to First Level, Novice Eventer advancing to Training Level or weekend rider just working towards better horsemanship… Cross Training can help you accomplish your riding goals… and it’s fun too!

DRESSAGE CLINIC

The fascinating discipline of Dressage opens the door to developing a more supple, yet stronger, horse and rider partnership.
By demystifying the concepts of collection and "being on-the-bit," we can obtain a better understanding of the balance and "throughness" a horse needs in order to perform well.

No matter if you are a Training Level Dressage rider wishing to advance to First Level, or a rider of a Western discipline, this clinic will give you the tools you need to make both you and your horse a better competitor.

English or Western tack acceptable.
